It is a huge field that covers the classification of every animal on earth as well as many broader fields of experimentation and inquiry related to animal life and the field keeps expanding due to scientific advances that continue to open new areas of research. It provides opportunities to learn about the process of all living things. 

Every effort is made to make the subject interesting and palpable among the students  and bulk portion portion of the students are aliening towards it. It has got tremendous importance and  a pivotal role for the medical aspirants with the introduction of NEET.
